When is the Best Time for HVAC Maintenance?

You are here: Home / Latest News / When is the Best Time for HVAC Maintenance?

May 7, 2024

If it has been more than a year since the last service, the short answer is NOW.

Regular annual service of your HVAC equipment ensures it operates safely and efficiently.  Over time, this will help your equipment last longer and lower your energy costs.  To keep you on track, we recommend customers sign up for our Service Plans, which cover the cost of an annual tune-up, labor, and many repairs over the ensuing year.  Click here to learn more about the plans we offer.

Spring is the Best Time for HVAC Maintenance

  • Avoid Scheduling Delays

On the first hot day each year, when A/C systems are used for the first time, we typically get a rush of repair calls. Why wait? Scheduling in the Spring means you are ready for summer.  Similarly, on the first cold day each year customers often realize their heating system needs attention and we get another rush of calls. We recommend your heating system get cleaned before the heat and humidity of summer when deposits can become stickier and tougher to remove. By scheduling your service now, you can be sure both heating and cooling systems are tuned and ready to perform when needed.

  • Improved Air Quality

Now is the time to replace your air filters and help reduce your exposure to common allergens that explode this time of year.

  • Catch Problems Early

During an annual tune-up service call, our technician will identify issues or problems as well as clean and tune your system. Early repairs and part replacement keep small-scale issues from later becoming real problems that come with a bigger price tag to repair. For example, something small like a fan blade that is off balance can eventually wreak havoc with your air conditioning unit. It will also cause an increase in your energy bills, while leaving your HVAV unit susceptible to a breakdown.

  • Reduced Energy Bills

The best way you can be sure of keeping your energy bills low is by having your HVAC systems running at optimal efficiency. You may even reduce your monthly energy bills by as much as 10 percent.  Older or worn-out parts can lead to efficiency drag and the risk of breakdown, which adds another layer of cost.

Spring into action, and give us a call! Your HVAC system will thank you.
